Exceptional experiences are built one interaction at a time. This hospitality training session brings one of Kentucky's most experienced tourism professionals to Shelby County for a two-hour program designed for front-line hospitality workers, business owners, and anyone whose daily work puts them in contact with visitors.
About the Training
Whether you work at a hotel front desk, serve tables at a local restaurant, run a retail shop on Main Street, or manage a local attraction, the way you welcome visitors shapes their entire experience of ShelbyKY—and whether they come back. This free training covers the fundamentals of visitor-centered hospitality: how to communicate what makes Shelby County special, how to handle common visitor situations with confidence, and how to turn a one-time guest into a repeat customer and word-of-mouth advocate.
About the Speaker
Michelle Allen is the Executive Director of the Somerset-Pulaski County Convention & Visitors Bureau and one of the most recognized names in Kentucky hospitality education. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and the Southeast Tourism Society's Marketing College, Allen has trained more than 20,000 hospitality professionals across the Commonwealth. She previously led hospitality training across 47 counties of Southern and Eastern Kentucky through Congressman Hal Rogers' Tour Southern and Eastern Kentucky initiative and holds a Kentucky Tourism Professional certification from KTIA.
