ShelbyKY Tourism is the destination marketing organization for Shelbyville, Simpsonville, and Shelby County, Kentucky. Recognized as Your Bourbon Destination® and the Saddlebred Horse Capital of the World™, ShelbyKY offers visitors a classic Kentucky experience with world-class distilleries and Southern cuisine.

Our mission at ShelbyKY Tourism is to promote Shelby County as a unique year-round destination, driving sustainable economic growth and quality of life. In pursuit of our mission, we generate visitor spending, support hospitality and tourism jobs, and local tax receipts, and lower residents’ property taxes. ShelbyKY Tourism acts as a county-wide advertising and promotion firm, promoting all attractions, restaurants, places to stay, and things to do to potential visitors. In 2023, the economic impact of tourism in ShelbyKY totaled just over $98.9 million, and each household throughout the county saved approximately $350 in property taxes thanks to visitor spending in the community. 

ShelbyKY Tourism is also responsible for managing and renting the Shelbyville Conference Center on behalf of the City of Shelbyville. For more information about the Shelbyville Conference Center, click here.
