An annual tradition that fills attendees with holiday cheer, hundreds of people will flock to Shelbyville’s historic Main Street for this delightful celebration on Saturday, November 8 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM. Enjoy over 100 vendor booths selling a variety of goods, a plethora of food trucks, Santa’s workshop, trolley rides, and live music before the main event - the tree lighting - takes place at 6:30 PM.

Santa and Mrs. Claus hope to be joined by you and your family on Saturday, November 15 at The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass. The merry couple will arrive via a beautiful horse-drawn carriage to light up a tree that stands 32 feet tall! You’ll also be able to get free photos with them, while meeting other famous figures like the Grinch, Cindy Lou from Whoville, and the life-size Polo Ralph Lauren Teddy Bear. 

All the while, enjoy musical performances from the Bluegrass Robotic Club, The Rockin’ Cowboys and The Showbiz Kids. Free Ghirardelli hot chocolate will be available, as will face painting, and an interactive LEGO build-and-play zone.

On Saturday, December 13 and Saturday, December 20, you’re invited to get tickets for these celebrations at Wakefield-Scearce Gallery at Science Hill. Last year, the one and only edition quickly sold out, so now there are two opportunities to get in on the fun! When guests arrive in the courtyard, they’ll be served sparkling tea in champagne flutes. The traditional tea service begins promptly at 1:00 PM which will include loose-leaf teas, sandwiches, baked goods, and sweets. 

Guests will be seated to fill table arrangements of 4, 6 and 8 people. If you have a seating preference, you will be able to note your request on the ticket form, or you can contact Kimberly at Kim@sosforaddictions.org. There are also special two-person tables available if you wish to acquire a private seating arrangement. Attending this event and others at Science Hill directly supports their mission of providing recovery addiction programs in the area.
